League rules

Divisions

The league runs in four divisions: D1 (strongest), D2, D3 and D4. You play in your own division — that keeps every court a real contest. Your division is set when you join and follows your rating as you grow; some players hold two neighbouring divisions during a transition.

The tournament format

A tournament is 6–8 short rounds on a ladder of courts, four players per court. Win your round — move a court up. Lose — move down. Court 1 is the top of the ladder, and the line-up of round one is seeded by rating.

Points (PTS)

PTS is the sum of your best 3 tournaments of the month (best 10 in the all-time standings) — a few strong tournaments are enough, so everyone has a shot at the top. In a tournament you collect the points you score in your won games. Since October 2026 the court multiplier applies to BOTH numbers: a win and every point earned on the top court are worth 1.5× those on the bottom one (the courts in between scale evenly) — Win Points (WP) decide the night’s medals, court-weighted Game Points (GP) break ties and feed the monthly race. Playing more can never hurt: a weaker tournament simply doesn’t count. Equal points share a place; whoever needed fewer tournaments stands higher.

Rating (RTG)

Every player carries a skill rating on a 0–5 scale that moves with results: beat the tournament’s average and it climbs, fall short and it slips. New players calibrate over their first 5 tournaments against the strength of the courts they play on — the rating shows publicly after that. The rating decides the court line-up of every tournament, and outgrowing your division’s ceiling is how you move up a division.

Sign-ups and payments

Games open for sign-up on the schedule. On paid games, paying is the registration: your spot is held for 15 minutes while you complete the payment. Payments are not refunded — instead you can transfer a paid spot to another game of your division free of charge up to 24 hours before the start. The waitlist is free; when a spot opens, the first player in line gets a 15-minute window to take it. Full details live in the terms.

Fair play

Results are entered on court and are final. Play within your division honestly — sandbagging is the one thing the ladder can’t forgive. Respect the clubs’ rules, your partners and your opponents; the league is competitive, the atmosphere is not.
